Perfect workout using lighter weights controlled momentum saving the joints Lifting heavy will result in joint problem sooner or later. So no need to train heavy. I train this way at age 70 and making great results far better now than my bodybuilding competitive days when I used heavy weights . Train slow and feel every rep.

Both methods are fairly new to me, however I've been doing Buteyko for a while and I can now breathe perfectly through my nose for the first time in my life, as I have a deviated septum and some other issues, so its absolutely amazing that I can now breathe normally, so I was pretty confused when I discovered Wim Hof, but what you say definitely makes sense, so ill do WIM Hof as part of my morning, midday and bedtime routine and Buteyko the rest of the time, best of both worlds. Thank you so much

Happy to meet you in the middle lol.

Hey I’ve been doing breathing techniques for years now and this video has been one of my main go-to videos for a guided practice. It’s right up there with Wim Hoff. Excellent video 10/10. Have recommended it and will continue to recommend it. @moderndaysparta if you’re reading this: My one request is for you to remake this guided video with another round for those who can hold their breath for >4 minutes. It would be greatly appreciated and help prolong the breath hold. Thanks!

While I don't follow Doug's perscription, I have read his book, and this isn't exactly his perscription. two things that stood out, one, Doug recommends a standard chest press machine, not an incline, and two, he recommends a 6-10 second concentric and eccentric motion.

Currently at hour 80 of a 96 hour fast. For charcoal, I take 560mg in the morning, 560mg in the evening. I do feel more satiated after taking them but have no science to offer as for why. My hypothesis is that the first few minutes are placebo, shortly thereafter the placebo has placated the hunger, and once the capsule breaks, the stomach tries for hours to unsuccessfully digest the charcoal and Boom. Hunger pain is gone

I do 10 sec both ways. Keep a written log of reps, time and weight. If you go beyond 1 min and 45 seconds then you need more weight. You should never go less than a minute. I believe we need no less than a weeks rest and I actually work out each body part every two weeks. I do lower one week and upper the next. Don't fully lock out as it will give you rest and take away from the load. Breath shallow rapid breaths especially on the concentric to fuel your muscles with oxygen. I do intermittent fasting but eat no less than 50 grams of protein every 4 hours.
