What really gets me after reading the manga is how bad Kazuki and Keisuke (Shoya's old best friends) really were to him after he got blamed for everything. Like the movie only shows them pushing him in the water and telling people to stay away from him, but they physically bullied him for months until they went to like high school, I think. The movie left some plot holes for sure, and it really bothers me that they didn't touch on how badly Shoya was treated 😢

Living with that curse was torture because that house didn't feel like a home anymore. All of the precious memories she had was ruined and her family couldn't even accept her wishes.
