Many people don’t realize that Jeff’s interest in a variety of different style music was his forte as an artist. He wanted to play so many genres like punk, metal, blues, jazz, R&B, folk, etc. and the album My Sweetheart the Drunk was a posthumous nod to Jeff and his wanting to be that artist. We kind of heard his versatility in Grace. But the My Sweetheart really exemplifies his wild versatility as a composer and songwriter. Every song has a special meaning and feel. Even the one she mentioned. I might be bias bc I’m obsessed with him, but I don’t really think he had any bad songs. They’re all so special.
